Hey everyone,
I got the following email in yesterday's mail. Bummer, now the Ft. Lauderdale Publix Family Fitness Weekend triathlon/duathlon is the day before the Key Biscayne triathlon/duathlon. I'll be doing the duathlon at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne on July 19. Don't think I'm capable of racing two days in a row.

DATE CHANGE FOR FT. LAUDERDALE PUBLIX FAMILY FITNESS WEEKEND!!!!!
Athletes, due to a date conflict, the Publix Family Fitness Weekend originally scheduled for the weekend of July 24-26, 2009, will now take place one week EARLIER, on the weekend of July 17-19.
ESM knows a number of you have already registered for the race, and we
sincerely apologize for this change and any inconveniences it may
cause. For those of you who cannot attend on the new date, we will be
more than happy to transfer your registration to another race this
season. To make sure that is taken care of, e-mail Series Director T.J.

The reason for the switch is a simple mix-up of dates! Camp Fiesta, an
outstanding program for children with cancer, will be taking place at
Birch State Park
beginning on the weekend of July 25-26. The camp is an annual event at
the Park, and it allows kids with cancer the chance to attend a great

The Publix Family Fitness Weekend schedule of events will stay the same, with the Florida
Sprint Tri/Du and the SprintKids taking place on Saturday, July 18. The
5K Run/Walk and Inline Skate race will take place at the same times on
Sunday, July 19.
